Nikolas Nikolaou (Project Manager)

Nikolas Nikolaou (president of NGO ACPELIA) plays a central or peripheral role in every project with his expert knowledge. He is successful as a coach and organizer in his personal life..

President of ACPELIA (Mr Nikolas Nikolaou, physics teacher in high school, BSC, MSc in Chemical Engineering National Technical University of Athens and MSc, BSc in the University of Cyprus at Physics department) has previous experience by taking part in many seminars and actions related to Environment, Non-Formal Education, Entrepreneurship and Discrimination. He organized and participated in more than 20 European programs which are doing with Non-Formal Education (KA105, KA205, KA229, Youth In Action) as well as several local environmental and Science projects with groups of young people, many of them can be found in his website: www.nikolas-nikolaou.net. Also, Nikolas is coordinating the biggest students and teacher annual Conference about Natural Sciences that is a yearly conference in Cyprus with the participation of more than 1000 students and more than 300 teachers. He manages to coach a team of the organising committee and to make them all do well for 10 years now that is taking place the Conference starting alone and now has a big team to coordinate. Last 2 years he was in the management team for more than 30 KA153YOU and KA152YOU.

Erma Georgiou, gained a BA in Theatre Studies from the University of Athens, and then graduated from the drama school of G. Armenis.She is also registered as a yoga and meditation teacher from Yoga Alliance Institute and has attended various seminars on theatrical techniques such as physical theatre, voice lessons e.t.c.But, she is always searching ways to empower people and finding therapy through arts and therefore she attended drama therapy lessons. She has worked with children of refugee background in Elix N.G.O at Athens and she attended to the workshop "Facilitate Teachers using the arts in working with groups'' from P.Y.E organization and she was impressed by the creativity of the process as well as the potential of arts to empower people.At the moment,she is working as a school assistant empowering students with social and educational difficulties,she is also teaching drama lessons to kids and adults in the afternoons and empowering through drama activities people with mental health needs in the psychiatric ward of the Limassol hospital.She has a great passion in the development of individuals as well as groups, and this is the reason that she decided to collaborate and become a trainer at the NGO Acpelia. Last year,she also been trainer in 2 projects of Acpelia in Cyprus, (Mental Health under Crisis Period and SICALS-Self-Improvement and Coaching as Life Skill) and this year is going to be trainer in another three projects (Innovation through Thinking out of the Box,Re-Connect with Nature protecting the Environment and Improvement of Mental health after a lock down).She also loves to travel,to meet new people and learn new things.

Dimitrios Morfis, Trainer, Humor Educator


Dimitrios Morfis is a licenced BA psychologist and certified Life Coach with a background of Magister (Master) at Business Administration and diploma studies certifications in Human Management, Career Counselling and Mediator Training. Since 2002 he has obtained more than 20 years' experience at the field of empowerment and transformation, by applying methods that combine cognitive behavioural and positive psychology. His work experience and skills at key national and international organizations have benefited people from community groups like migrants, parents of preschool children, victims of domestic violence and families with mental disability patients. In 2017 he obtained a certification as a Trainer for the Method of Laughter Wellness and has created a facebook group called "Laughter Wellness CY" where he shares posts, workshop events and other useful empowerment material for those at interest, while at the same time he has introduced the Laughter Wellness method and principles to organizations and institutions like University of Cyprus and NGOs. 


 He has participated in two mobility Erasmus+ projects: - As a Cyprus Youth Board Trainer at Stepanavan, Armenia at the project of "Effective Communication for Youth Employability" (15/10/2015 – 21/10/2015) - As a member of ACPELIA, he has participated in «WELL – BE» project at VELJE, DENMARK where he created and implemented 3 coaching groups to introduce the concept and benefits of the "Hero's Journey" technique as an outcome for the project (08/06/2022 - 16/06/2022) His passion is to help people discover their strengths without external help, to assist people in accepting their emotions and overcome any victimization patterns so that they can create positive sustainable changes in their lives. His hobbies include amateur theatre acting and reading books.


Boghos (Bobbie) Avetikian, support staff / Youth Worker

Boghos Avetikian is an Armenian Cypriot, who after achieving a BA in English and Communications at the American University of Armenia immediately got involved in Erasmus+ projects after graduating. After participating in 25+ projects, both Youth Exchanges and Training courses, Boghos soon got involved in facilitating and coordinating projects on his own, focusing on numerous themes such as sustainability, social entrepreneurship and inclusion. Boghos Avetikian loves jogging and music, and should be in Nicosia, you will probably see him running around in the afternoons with his earphones in his ears.

Project Name: CREating with ACt and arTs a safe envIronment in Our ceNters CREACTION

Duration: From 1st of March 2023 till 29th of February 2024 (12 months)

Activity: Training of 36 youth workers (9 organisations, 4 youth workers from each organization, 4 stakeholders) about how to empower educators to become anti-bullying ambassadors in order to prevent and handle cases of bullying in youth centers.
